Bathymetry

Techniques Topo conducts all of the tasks associated with studies to map the bottom of seas, rivers and lakes.

These works are led by the mission manager, who is assigned to define and explain the characteristics of the particular mission, depending on both the site potential and constraints listed in the project specifications. The extent of equipment available features:

• a TABUR or ZODIAC type of craft with a small engine displacement to ensure slow and smooth movement,
• a multiband sonic depth finder,
• and a robotic theodolite (preferentially of the LEICA TCM or TCA type) to perform constant target tracking.
